Making Connections

Making Connections is a good way to help you understand the text. It makes you think about how you can relate to the text that you are reading e.g. you could have heard about the topic before, you could have done the topic before, someone could have told you about the topic before and also you could have seen the topic being done before.

When I bit myself

When I bit myself

He slapped me in the face. So I had to take a deep breath and not run after him and slap him back. As he walked proudly because he had won the battle, when I saw that I got even more angry. So I had to take another deep breath and walk away from the situation.

I was still very angry with him so clenched my teeth together without realizing that my arm was in the way. I was not happy straight away I got a big bruise in the shape teeth digging into my arm. The bite was so hard that by the minute the bruise became darker and darker. By that time I was infuriated with Cormac (my brother), not only because he had slapped me, but also the fact that I felt like it was his fault that I had bit myself. My arm was throbbing in pain. I went and told Mum and Jay (our Thai student) about what I had done to myself and they laughed which made me feel a little bit better about myself.

Before camp thoughts

I am a little bit nervous, but I’m mostly excited  for camp, because my Mum is coming full time, which I like because I get a little homesick ,  (especially when I am away from my family). Its also good because she gets to spend time with me on all the fun activities.

I’m looking forward finding out who’s in a tent with me. I want to be with people that I know well. If I got to choose to be in a tent with someone I would choose to be with Bayer and Briana. I like to keep the tent nice and tidy, with my bed made neatly, All the luggage put away neatly

I can’t wait to do some of the water activities because I love to swim! I have never been to the water hole before so I am looking forward to seeing what it’s like.

I wonder what we'll have for dinner. I hope it’s not bacon and eggs! “YUK”
